Artisan Learnership Programme at MINTEK

Working closely with industry and other R&D institutions, Mintek provides service testwork, process development and optimisation, consulting and innovative products to clients world-wide.

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons to participate in an Artisan Learnership Programme in the Engineering Maintenance Services and Pyrometallurgy Division (Ref: ALP/2015/010).The purpose of the programme is to provide suitable South African candidates with an opportunity to obtain a trade certificate in Instrument Mechanician (Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control) and Mechanical Fitter, by offering theoretical and practical training. Successful candidates will enter into a 27 months contract.

Salary Package: R71 495.40 CTC per annum


  • Minimum N2 qualification (Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation)

  • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Problem Solving Techniques
