Bell Dewar runs two vacation programmes. As a vacation student you will be exposed to the realities of legal practice. Wherever possible, you will accompany attorneys to consultations with both clients and counsel and be given research briefs pertinent to live cases. There are also outings and some fun social activities, as well as opportunities to meet the staff of Bell Dewar during informal functions. Numbers are limited, ensuring that each student receives sufficient guidance and allowing for a thorough assessment of each student’s potential. The firm has selected many of its candidate attorneys from the groups of vacation students.
Applications for the June programme must be received by end April.
Applications for the December programme must be received by the end October.
All applicants must submit a detailed CV with a letter motivating their application, certified copies of their matric certificate and university results, together with a letter of reference.
