About GDP
Our GDP provides a comprehensive opportunity for candidates to learn, work with and be inspired by like-minded individuals and ultimately stand a chance to secure a career with one of the world’s largest energy companies.
It is a structured programme which aims to develop your leadership, personal, professional and technical skills.
- Over a 24 to 30 month programme you will be given an opportunity to rotate across several business areas to ensure a full understanding of the BP value chain
- You will be supported by the BPSA induction programme
- You will attend a graduate training programme as well as a leadership development programme
- You will be assigned supervising line managers as well as a champion appointed by each business unit to look after the your development
- You will be involved in other business projects and activities as and when required
- On completion of the programme, you may be placed in a permanent role with a clear career development plan.
Entry requirements
We want to recruit fresh graduates or graduates with a maximum of one year post-qualification experience who:
- Meet our EE targets and or diversity and inclusion principles
- Have a good academic record and achievements
- Are from recognised Universities and Universities of Technology
- Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.
You must also demonstrate the following competencies:
- Oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Written communication skills
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Organisational skills
- Time management skills
Please note:
- Candidates must be citizens and or legal residents of the country to which they apply
- Candidates for South Africa must be willing to relocate and reside elsewhere in the country if required to do so.
