About Us

Luckysters.com (pronounced Luckystars) launched in 2010 with the aim to be the leading Career Search Tool in South Africa. Our mission is to find, group, organize and share in a single view the best and most relevant career opportunities online. We strive to be SA’s most user-focused careers website where people can find and discover the latest career opportunities in a convenient manner. This website only gives you a snippet of the opportunities available and you need to click through to the original source for more information and to apply. Luckysters is powered by people who want to make things better for the career seeker.

The days of having to click around the web to locate the careers pages of numerous companies are gone. With Luckysters you can now easily access career opportunities and sources thereof conveniently through a single Web page. We source the information you see on our pages from thousands of employer careers pages, government websites and job boards. The website caters for everyone from high school to varsity students, recent graduates, experienced professionals and executives.

We’re just getting started, and we have lots more to show you in the months and years ahead.

Nelsko Security Services CC t/a (Nelsko Digital Solutions) with company registration number 2008/028036/23 is responsible for Luckysters (website and service offering).

Why use Luckysters?

Most jobs are posted on employer websites and not commercial job boards. The reason for this is that it is free for employers to post jobs on their own sites.

Because jobs on employer websites typically are not anywhere near as known about as they would be if they were on sites like CareerJunction, Careers24, IOLJobs, and so forth—jobs on employer websites typically receive hardly any applications because job seekers simply do not know about them.

The South African government is the biggest employer in the country and we have the largest database of vacancies from the public sector.

Co-Founder and Manager: Content, Sales and Marketing

Themba Sikhosana is the Manager: Content, Sales and Marketing of Luckysters.com. Known to close friends as T Diddy, this is a man with a serious passion for business and the internet at large. He hails from the States (i.e. Standerton, Mpumalanga) and is also a proud Wits University BCom Alumnus. Themba was inspired together with Nelly Sikhosana to start the website after experiencing firsthand the tedium involved in searching for a job online and saw that there was a gap in the Global market for a website that pooles and curates vacancies from various sources onto one browser.

Five ways to benefit from the website:

1.   Careers Directory. This is part of services created to help careers seekers like you get more out of Luckysters more efficiently. Here we have a comprehensive bookmark of must see careers pages of hiring companies, government departments (national, provincial and local) and non-profits. Check it out to see which companies are currently accepting CVs.

2.   Search engine for jobs. If you do not have time to browse around or visit the different careers pages of a thousand companies, simply search for specific careers openings using our engine powered by Google.

4.   Free job listings. As a recruiter take advantage of this plaform to drive your content to our career seeking traffic. We do not charge any fee for standard entries on Luckysters, it is absolutely free to employers. However there are certain requirements to be met before we upload positions. If your company is interested in listing positions with us, get in touch.

5.   Advertise cost effectively with us. For businesses that want to advertise on the site the options include banner ads, contextual text ads and sponsored banners links for any period or budget. Contact us for inquires.
